Rachel’s story
“Animals made me calm. They were my friends.”
Rachel Hendy was born on the Isle of Wight and now lives in Portsmouth, where she is building confidence after a childhood shaped by adoption and bullying. She attends Make, which she describes as a breakthrough in her life, and enjoys art, animal care, and roles that allow her to work at her own pace. Rachel speaks honestly about wanting to be treated with patience and fairness and hopes for a future with more understanding and stability.
